I served as an apprentice for Regnor Reinholdtsen, my high-school
ceramics instructor. I worked in all phases of production pottery:
loading the kilns, gas- and electric-firing of the kilns, wedging clay,
mixing glazes, and street-fair and studio sales.

I am currently teaching beginning through advanced pottery (throwing
& handbuilding) at Bellevue Community College, Bellevue, Washington.
Instructors I've studied under:
Ken Ferguson, Peter Voulkos, Betty Woodman, Patti
Warashina, and
Robert Sperry (all in Seattle, 1975-77); Robert Sperry (Sun Valley,
Idaho, 1977); Michael Cardew (Albuquerque, New Mexico, 1978); and Peter
Voulkos and Rudy Autio (Woodstacker Symposium in Missoula, Montana,
1995).
